Life is hard, and getting help is not always convenient. As a Board Certified-TeleMental Health Provider, I can offer online therapy, so you don't have to worry about transportation or child care, through a HIPAA-compliant site, so you don't have to worry about privacy.

I work with individuals and couples, and have experience with a variety of issues, including depression, anxiety, personal growth, and coping with medical illness such as cancer, heart disease. I also help couples improve their relationships, or can help individuals work through when a relationship ends.

Two significant things in my life are now major focuses of my counseling. I was drawn to psychology after the birth of my oldest son. At that time, I was having symptoms that I now know as postpartum depression, but were scary and made me feel like a bad mother. I help other women understand the normalcy of these feelings, and help them work through.

The second significant event is my marriage to my current husband, now 23 years strong. We each brought two children to this marriage, and then added a fifth together. Blending families is a challenge, and the dynamics involved can be multifaceted and different from an “intact” family, and I help people in this situation.

My approach is with empathy and compassion, along with a direct and straightforward style, so that together we can challenge negative, ineffective thoughts and patterns and bring positive change to your life.
